Great Facilities

Our school takes pride in its fantastic amenities that not only enhance the learning experience but also promote a harmonious coexistence with nature.

  • Expansive playground, meticulously cared for by both staff and students. Encouraging physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play, allowing children to explore their creativity while developing essential motor skills. The play equipment is designed to stimulate curiosity and foster teamwork, making it a hub of joy and laughter.
  • Amazing vegetable garden, which serves as a living classroom. Students engage in hands-on learning about sustainability and healthy eating as they plant, nurture, and harvest a variety of vegetables. This initiative not only teaches them about the importance of nutrition but also instils a sense of responsibility and pride in caring for the environment.
  • Frog pond is a vital component of our commitment to biodiversity. It provides a habitat for various species, enriching the local ecosystem and offering students a unique opportunity to observe and learn about aquatic life. The presence of bearded dragons and blue-tongue lizards adds to the rich tapestry of wildlife, allowing students to appreciate the importance of all creatures in our environment.

With abundant bird life flitting through our grounds, our school is a living testament to the beauty of nature. These amenities work together to create a nurturing environment where students can learn about sustainability, respect for wildlife, and the importance of coexisting with the natural world. Together, we foster a community that values and protects our environment for future generations.

Our Playground

Engaging Hands-On Learning:

Learning should be an adventure!

Our curriculum is designed to be interactive and engaging, allowing students to explore, discover, and problem-solve through hands-on experiences. From gardening, cooking, our annual Bike Day (Bike & Road safety) to science days, we encourage students to think critically and work collaboratively, preparing them for future challenges.

Our Focus on Wellbeing and Emotional Management Skills:

We recognise that a strong foundation in emotional and social wellbeing is essential for academic success. Our dedicated staff prioritises the holistic development of each child, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and responsible in their learning environment. Through our Coaching Children 2 Cope Model (CCC) we cultivate a culture of kindness and inclusivity, empowering students to express themselves, manage their emotions, and develop meaningful connections with their peers.

Understanding and managing emotions is a vital skill for lifelong success. We integrate emotional literacy into our daily activities, teaching students how to recognise their feelings and respond to them in healthy ways. This empowers them to navigate social situations with confidence and resilience, laying the groundwork for positive relationships both in and out of school.

Values at the Core:

Our core values of safety, respect, and responsibility guide everything we do. We teach our students the importance of these values, shaping them into compassionate individuals who understand the significance of their actions within the school community and beyond.

A Strong Community:

As a small school, we pride ourselves on our close-knit community where every child is known and valued. Our families are active partners in their child's education, and together we create a supportive environment that fosters growth and learning.

Choosing Stanford Merthyr Infants means choosing a school where your child will be nurtured, inspired, and equipped with the skills they need to navigate their world with confidence. Join us on this exciting journey of learning and discovery—together, we can make a difference in your child's life!
